NUDRS Carts
NUDRS is of the opinion that the cart is as important as the driver. For this purpose we have a section fully dedicated to the carts themselves. They have thier own names and histories. They get stickers just as horses get roses at the tracks. They definitely look better (or more interesting at least) than the drivers do. Enjoy a brief veiw of the carts of NUDRS.
The basic componets of the gravity cart are as follows:
1- Chasis. Frames are important. A strong fame will keep your cart from bending and keep your wheels on the ground.
2- Wheels. They roll. Using tires and bearings designed for high speeds are in your best intrest. No solid tires!
3- Brakes. They slow you down. This is a good thing, especialy when aproaching a hairpin turn at 50+mph.
4- Steering. Dont let it be sloppy. Keep it tight and presice or you may get high speed wobbles and lose control in the turns.
5- Body. Remember aerodynamics. Not only will it make you faster, but a it will deflect debris and keep you safer.
6- Safety gear. Wear DOT approved full face helmets. Having a roll bar and harness is very highly advised.

Mayhem
What began as a repair to the damaged Danger Car has taken a turn to becoming an entirely new cart, Meyhem.
Originaly the body of Danger Car was supposed to transplant directly onto the new frame. After careful engineering and persice measurements to allow this to happen it was determined that the fiberglass shell would not fit on as previously planned. As such, this would have too be considered a new cart entirely. Sharing a few components from the original cart, there will always be more than a little Danger in Mayhem.
Mayhem is known for it's progressive and inovative aerodynamic bodies composed of cardboardium panels and ductonite skins that allow it to reach speeds north of 70 mph. Mayhem carried Cobra to win the 2013 NUDRS chapionship.

John Deere
The Clone has put together this beauty more as a show piece than a racer o display at car shows. It does it's job well in catching the eye of the passer by and get him asking questions. Sad part is, it never got raced.
I convinced The Clone to come out to Las Vegas to race with us and asked him to bring the "tractor" if he had room on his trailer because I had a newbie I wanted to get into the race. It worked out, he brought it, it raced, another poor soul became addicted.
As of now, the John Deere is on loan from The Clone and has been added to the NUDRS stable. To be honest, it's slow. But that's just fine. All the more motivation to get the free loading driver out of it and building his own. Until the time that it is called home, it will be found rushing the slopes catering to the needs of cartless drivers of southern Nevada.

Rat Fink
Starting its life in the SFVISBF and VULGR it has made its way to NUDRS. This creation of Dirty Dave and Jousting Jay is a cobbed together assortment of golf cart, tractor, and vintage quarter midget meant for one thing, owning the corners. With its wide wheel base it carves with the best of them and will be a serious contender for the next NUDRS season championship with driver Wormy at the wheel. Modifications made include rollbar, harness, a stretched wheel base, and wicked ankle chopper....

Extreme Green
Extreme Green made it's first showing on the first race of the 2014 NUDRS season. Formerly known to all as Rockstar this cart was sold by Cobra to The Tin Man for an undisclosed amount. The addition of a roll bar, harness, rear mouned tool box, and running lights add to the list of features. A fresh coat of green paint gives it it's name but bears a star on the hood to honor it's past.

Hawaiian Punch
This 80's style Dodge Daytona is easily the slickest looking cart to be found in Vegas. This fiberglass bodied go cart was liberated from a dusty garage somewhere and put to task in its new lif in the soapbox world. Sporting scrub brakes and crude pitman steering this cart has a ways to go before reaching the desired end that Quaker Chevelle has in mind. A roll bar has been added and further chasis improvements are coming.

Interceptor
Traded for 200 rounds of 9mm practice ammo, this 79 mustang body was slated to become a lot of different things but finally made it to become the current NUDRS loaner cart. With it's black and white cop motiff it has transformed into a real eye catcher.
Baja Barbie
Baja Barbie is a custom adaption of a full suspension go cart to the purpose of gravity racing. With all wheel brakes and front/rear suspension it is the smoothest riding easiest stopping cart on the hill. It's disadvatages at the moment are the large knobbys it rolls on as well as the tall riding hight. The name may change as Baja Barbie was a joke name thrown around to make fun of it's odd apearence and bright color. Regardless, we love it.

Pitman arm

Skeletor
Skeletor came to race the same day it was completed. Well, complete is a loose term. This thing still has much left on it to be done. Made from shelving steel, shopping cart parts and a small bit of what might be a wheel barrow it surprised everyone with a 2nd place finish in the trophy race and the following fun run.
Wheels:
16" Bicycle wheels up front, 12" scooter wheels in back

Mini Indy
Mini Indy is the ride of Tito. Making it's first showing at Race 15, Beach Bum it proved to be quite fast, placing in the top 3.
Converted from an old gocart, it is the same as some others from the California clubs such as the Green Weenie and the Clone. Such carts have proven to be top competetors and Mini Indy will be sure to be a top dog in every race it runs.
Wheels:
5 Inch Steel Wheels
Steering:
Pitman arm

T Bucket
T Bucket was cobbed together from and old cart frame found on the side of the road, a broken Radio Flyer wagon, rusted out wheel barrow, and abandoned lawn mower. Wheels from the the old Rockstar cart made it to the rear and a cheap pair of HF's for the front. T Bucket may never be fast, but it pulls off the Rockabilly style like none other.

10" HF front / 6" steel wheel, 14" knobby tires (redneck slicks) front.

Future Carts
Chick-in-Coupe
Chick-in-Coupe also has origins from other organizations, the SFVISBF and VULGR. It is also the winner of NUDRS' inaugural race at Bighorn and the 2012 Season Championship. The cannopy-style roll cage on Chick-in-Coupe has been ditched to decrease wind resistance and make room for future modifications. Having 4 wheel brakes and a a real steering rack make this the best handling cart in the NUDRS stables.

Porche rack and pinion.

Dr Pepper Formula
Who doesn't love Dr Pepper? Being only in its early stages of the build, there are still many things that may change in it's design. We hope Farmer Joe can finish it soon.
Past Carts
Danger Car (Wrecked)
Danger Car traces it's origin way back to the glory days of the SFVISBF. Throughout the years it has changed hands and recieved upgrades to the chasis but has always retained it's unique lovely body.
Recently it was NUDRS' fastest cart with a career top speed of 72.3mph. Ironically enough, handeling has not been Danger Car's strong point due to a bent frame from years of racing and abuse.
Sadly, Danger Car suffered a fatal crash in Race 1 of the 2013 NUDRS season. The frame bent and twisted from a run in with a curb meant it's racing days were done.
Until the day comes where the body (the only common piece passed on from the very first Danger Car) is again placed on a rolling chasis, this beauty will hang in the gravity shop.

Rockstar
Rockstar is the original NUDRS cart. It made it's competitive debut with SUCKER in the 2012 Chicken of the Sea event with Cobra (aka Isacop) at the wheel. Rockstar is simple and straight forward. Not particularly fast, but very stable in the corners and at home on the dirt roads.

Steel rims, 6" rear, 5" front. Tires, 145x70x6 rear, 4.10-3.50/5 front.
